It’s All About The Love For Music
Music has always held a very special place in my heart. But it was in autumn of 1999 that I was introduced to the world of Electronic Dance Music (EDM). I was exposed to none other than “Gatecrasher Wet”, a compilation that even today stands the test of time! Since then, there has been no looking back!
Almost a decade later, I decided to embark on a very special journey, a journey to pursue this passion of mine in music through DJing. Having very little knowledge about the whole subject at that time, I decided not to call myself a DJ.
But sure as hell, things have changed since then. In these few years, I have been fortunate to have learned so much about music, DJing and performing.
I started DJing professionally in February 2009 and since then, have had the pleasure and privilege to DJ at some of the best venues across Delhi/NCR, including LAP, The Love Hotel at Ai, Tabula Rasa, Baci, Asia7, Manre, Cibo, 24/7 at the Lalit Hotel, Kuki, Vapour, Thai High and Azzuro. While living in Barcelona, I had the privilege to play at Boo Beach Club, Suite 191, Bocayma, The W Hotel and the Olympic Stadium! I’ve also had the honour to DJ along side with some of the greatest DJs in the world, including Darren Tate, Liquid Soul, Tanseer and Praveen Achary. And last but not least, in 2010 I was featured among the Top 20 Harmonic DJs in the world ranked by Mixed in Key.
Spreading The Love
Along side DJing, I took it upon myself to spread the joy of listening to EDM, good EDM. Unfortunately, a lot of people I spoke to had a very poor impression of the genre. And so in January 2009, began a series of monthly mixes called “TranceMission”, so that I could influence that perception through “good” EDM. I also enjoyed mixing my own compilations – mixes which I believe transport you into another world! Mixes I am extremely proud of 🙂
So, here we are. I hope you enjoy downloading and listening to my sets, compilations and recommendations. If you don’t like EDM or don’t know much about it, I say, give it a try. You won’t be disappointed 🙂
